PRIVACY AND SAFETY CENTRE
We care about your safety

Our privacy framework

The Hub is designed to prioritise user safety and privacy. Best practice safety advice gives users the tools to control who and what they share, which communities they interact with, and tools to report or block inappropriate or unwanted content.

For more info, see our Privacy Policy.

You own your data. There are no ads
There are no targeted ads or buying and selling of your data on The Hub. We do not have an income sourced through advertisements or through on-selling data to third parties.

World-class data security
The Hub software and data is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, the most flexible and secure cloud computing environment available. Their global network infrastructure has unmatched security, data compliance and industry leading performance. We store our data on AWS servers located in Sydney, Australia.

Flexible privacy settings
Users control their privacy settings, such as which individuals can view their profile and contact details, and block any other users from contacting them or sharing content.

Groups also have extensive privacy and access controls to empower each group to consider its duty-of-care to each member.

Flexible group roles
There is a hierarchy of group roles including Administrator, Creator and Member. Only Administrators and Creators can contribute content to the group. There are also Organisation Administrators for the Org Hub subscribers to have further oversight and admin features for managing large organisations.

Where are you based?

The Hub has been designed, developed and is supported from Melbourne, Australia. We work with local software developers and have an in-house support team.

We store our data on servers in Sydney, Australia.

Do you use end-to-end encryption?

The data on The Hub is not end-to-end encrypted, and this is a conscious choice. While end-to-end encryption can have positive uses, there are significant risks too, including assisting in serious harms by hiding criminal activities including online child sexual abuse.

Keeping data secure and safe, but still accessible to law enforcement agencies if required, is part of our overall commitment to child and user safety.

All data and user profiles on The Hub are stored on secure servers and protected from unauthorised access.

Who can contribute to my group?

Only who you invite!

There is a hierarchy of group roles including Administrator, Creator and Member, that the Admins of a group set and change any time.

Group Administrators can tailor the group privacy and membership settings to best suit. Including options to hide join codes (invite only) and have group membership by Admin approval.

Only Administrators and Creators can contribute content to the group.

All groups and users on The Hub platform are private and cannot be found in a public search.

These settings are designed for the highest level of control and safety for users, content, and groups.
